Silicon Laboratories USB to UART IC. The latest units from Signal: the CP2102 is a drop-in pin replacement of the CP2101. Vastly superior to the FTDI chip in many ways:
- Implements full v2.0 USB protocol
- Needs no external crystal
- Requires only a pull-up resistor and two decoupling caps
- Internal EEPROM for device ID and Product Description strings
